Data#3 is an ASX-listed company that provides a range of technology solutions to businesses throughout Australia and Asia Pacific. These solutions are often delivered in partnership with world-leading vendors such as HP, Cisco, Microsoft, IBM and VMware.
From IT lifecycle management and mobility services to hybrid IT and cloud-based solutions, Data#3 helps organisations use technology to become more efficient, more agile and more competitive.
The existing Data#3 website contained a disparate mix of services and solution offerings, all of which had been written and uploaded by different people over time. This resulted in content that was inconsistent, off-brand and unclear as to the end user benefits.
Data#3 engaged Business Copywriter as a professional website content writer to assist in re-writing 30 key pages on the site – the main solutions landing page, six solution category overview pages, and 23 individual solution pages. Importantly, the new content needed to be clear and concise, and written with a consistent tone of voice across all the pages.
The pre-writing phase took up a large portion of the project, as it involved interviewing each of the solution managers or ‘owners’ to get their perspective on the solution offering.
These interviews were carried out on-site in Sydney, as well as over the phone for those managers located in either Brisbane or Melbourne. It total, there were 13 interviews conducted, with some managers responsible for more than one solution.
Once all the interviews were completed, the writing process began. The 23 solution pages were produced first with reviews and approvals from each of the solution owners, then the remaining solution category and overview pages followed.
Thanks to the amazing people and process management skills of Yvonne Murray, Team Leader Marketing Communications, the content review and approval process was extremely smooth and efficient. Data#3 now have professionally-written copy for their key website pages, helping to clearly communicate their technology solutions to the market.
