Sure, not as attractive as the ones below me, but a copywriter nonetheless.
I’ve worked in the advertising and creative industries since 2001, both on the agency side as an
in-house online copywriter and account manager, as well as a freelance copywriter working in my shorts and thongs from home (I occasionally put on pants when I need to meet with clients in big buildings).
As an account manager in agency land, I gained an in-depth understanding of the advertising production process, the creative environment and how to maintain strong client relationships.
As a copywriter, I’ve written copy for pretty much every medium, including websites, microsites, eDMs, online videos, brochures, corporate profiles, direct mail, press ads, radio ads and more.
During my time in both the corporate and freelance worlds, I’ve written copy for many leading brands such as oneworld, NRMA Insurance, Subaru, Qantas, SAP, Accor Hotels, AGL, Optus, Westpac, Zurich, Freedom, Oral-B, HCF, Rebel Sport, Cochlear, and Leighton to name a few.
I hold a Bachelor Degree in Leisure and Sport Management from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and have also completed training at the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) and the Australian School of Copywriting. G+
After completing a Bachelor Degree in Business with a double major in advertising and marketing, I moved into online marketing for The Eclipse Group. There I was responsible for managing content on one of the early versions of www.holden.com.au developing a consistent content structure across all their vehicles.
I then moved into the management of online marketing – email marketing, website development, online advertising and promotions – for www.microsoft.com.au with interactive agency, OneDigital.
I ran screaming from my last ‘proper job’ in a digital advertising agency back in 2002, and have been a freelance online copywriter working from the third bedroom ever since.
For more than 10 years, I’ve specialised in business copywriting, partnering with digital agencies and corporate clients on websites and digital content. Along with my copywriting partners, I’ve worked with agencies large and small on brands including Microsoft, NRMA, SAP, Westpac and AGL to name a few. G+

In 2011, I co-authored Flying Solo Revisited – How to go it alone in business with Robert Gerrish and Sam Leader.
After 15 years in the corporate world, I moved to full time soloism in 2009. I now work as a freelance website content manager, proofreader, editor and researcher.
I also provide content management and editorial support to www.flyingsolo.com.au and have edited book catalogues, managed a large intranet site and produced a daily corporate email newsletter since 2004.
I hold a Bachelor of Business and a Masters of Applied Science (Library and Information Management).
